As time went by more and more men expressed an interest in giving underwater rugby a try and so, in 2019, we became a mixed club and moved to our new home, Leisure @ Cheltenham. Since then, our numbers have continued to grow and many of our members have represented Great Britain in top-level tournaments, including the Underwater Rugby World Championships.
Our training nights cater for players of all abilities – the vast majority of our players (by some margin) had no prior experience of the game before joining us! At training, we usually work on a few basic drills before playing friendly matches.
In terms of competitions, we play against other clubs in the UK and across Europe. We regularly compete in the European Open League where we travel to countries including Spain, Italy, and Greece to play clubs from across the continent.
