Following last year’s Covid restrictions, we had to really think outside the box on how to keep ourselves ‘swim ready’. Thankfully we were able to get down for a few open water sessions at Mad Mikes Tri Centre in Bristol.
Mikes lake will be re-opening for the season from the 29th March 2021 until September, and we look forward to visiting again. Please contact Raines for more details of dates and times we will be going.
Make sure you bring a wetsuit, a dry robe, or something to change in (if changing rooms aren’t available) and something to warm you up drink-wise after! Snorkels & fins are allowed if you want to bring them but can get a bit muddy as the bottom is quite muddy!
You will also require a tow buoy and coloured swim cap so you can be tracked in the water. Usually if its a wetsuit then you just need a coloured cap. Buoys can also be hired at Mikes on the day or purchased via Amazon.
